On the heels of my last post on 2 girls 1 cup (don’t worry this one doesn’t have to do with feces or vomit), I’ve decided to dedicate this one to fetishes and fetishists all over the world. For those who aren’t hip to the fetish world, a fetish is something nonsexual, such as an object or a part of the body which arouses sexual desire or is necessary for one to reach full sexual satisfaction. Examples of some fetishes include feet (retifism), stuffed animals (plushophilia), wearing diapers (autonepiophilia), choking (erotic asphyxia), and finding pregnant women hot (maiesiophiliac). 

Almost everyone has a fetish, some may be more mundane than others. People who get sexually excited at the sight a woman’s breasts are called “mazophiliacs”, couples who talk dirty to one another during sex are “narratophiliacs”, while people who like their sexual partner to be at least 15 years older than them are “gerontophiliacs”, and people who get turned on by looking at porn magazines or erotic art are known as “pictophiliacs.” Most people who’ve met some of my ex boyfriends would probably assume that my fetishes include maniaphilia (an attraction to insane people) and peniaphilia (an attraction to poverty), but in actuality my fetishes are pretty fucking boring and include epistemophilia (an abnormal preoccupation for acquiring knowledge) and garment fetishism (as in I like my men to wear a uniform – even if it’s just an Arby’s uniform).

Having a fetish is like having a hobby, only better. Having a fetish gives you something to think about while your standing in line for the bathroom or you’re your sitting at a meeting  and your interest in it has expired. It expands the erotic zone beyond the bedroom out into the street. The world is fair game. Everyone likes sex a bit differently. These differences include positions, pillow talk, and foreplay, among others. Just like there are things that we all like a bit differently about the actual act of sex, there are differences between what turns us on. Some people like feet, others are particularly attracted to breasts, butts, or perhaps it's more involved like an S&M or bondage type fetish. These are all very common fetishes and fantasies and as long as you only share them with others that feel the same, then there is no harm done.
